Instead of seperate sound so not true stereo.Manufacture too cheap to add seperate power source for each speaker. It would be better then the user could connect it in different parts of the room instead of hard wiring it in a location close to the powered side.. I might have liked them if it weren't for that major flaw...So just to reiterate, I have to run a speaker wire over to the other speaker which does not have a powered side.. They look nice and have Bluetooth and other ways to plug devices in. That is a very nice feature. I bought them for my wife to hear her phonograph. They work very well. I just have one issue with them. When hooking something directly into the speakers like a phonograph there is to much bass. There is not a way that I have found to adjust the bass down. They still sound good. Just a to much bass when the sound is turned up. I suggest buying an equalizer. Plug the turntable into the equalizer then the equalizer into the speakers.
