WYZE Cam Pan v4 4K Indoor/Outdoor Security Camera, 360° Pan/Tilt, 8X Zoom

I made this NEGATIVE review 5 stars in the hopes that more people will see how terrible this camera is.Update: the v4 pan I have inside is at a signal strength of 3 bars and -40db. That is direct line of sight and 15ft from the primary router. Streaming is fine but play back can be a little choppy. The v4 pan outside on the corner of my house was at 2 bar and -64db making it terrible and unusable. That’s connecting to 2.4 or 5g router OR the extender I have in the middle of the house which is closer to the camera. I have to say I'm extremely disappointed in the couple of days since I received this pan cam v4. I have a total of five different wise products currently, not including the 2 new v4's i just got. Three of the pan cam v3s, and two different doorbells and for the most part have been pretty pleased with them. I experienced trouble with the Pan Tilt V3 Cam-Network Connecting' The Pan-TIlt v3 (a earlier version of this item V4) displaying a QR code on my phone running the Wyze setup application and NOWHERE COULD I FIND HOW TO transfer that QR code over to the app displaying it. Finally I increased the brightness of my Android Samsung Phone and pushed the image of the QR code the Wyze setup application displayed back and forth from 2 inches to the new camera's lens out to 10 inches back and forth, back and forth until FINALLY the setup verbally stated, accepted the QR Code and the Network setup comple

I also have a pfSense firewall at home and have all my IoT devices under a separate VLAN. Can be set to record just motion events, or continuous like I use.Not a perfect camera, it does not obey the "detection zone" which is supposed to prevent or limit recordings of things going on outside the scope of interest. So worse case, it records a little more than you intended. I can live with that.

I just upgraded to these from the V3 Wyze cam pans, and I wish I hadn’t.Yes- the image quality on these is superior to the old models, but they have a weird (albeit very slight) fish eye effect- where the image is rounded on the edges. Update 26/8: Reduced it to 2 stars. The detection is absolutely horrific. It constantly detects one of my dogs as a person, but it doesnt detect actual persons, even with the detection set to 10, all the other camera's i have have no issues, and the wyze cam v4 that was in the exact same spot previously also had no issues, detected persons who rode by on bikes or scooters even.
