Every feeling that Dianna and Samkiel were going through was so visceral and painful that I admit that it was, at times, hard to read in both a good and bad way. I don’t usually leave reviews but I came away with mixed feelings after reading this so felt is was worth it. The plot itself is good, a little predictable by the end but enjoyable nonetheless. My biggest gripes are how dragged out the story was only to info dump at the end. I found my self skimming reading through large parts of the book because it was repetitive and not adding much to the story. I really liked the 2nd book. It really delved into the stages of grief and having people to support you through it. It was fun adding in all the new characters. The end was devastating following in book 1s footsteps. Excited to dive into the next one!
