Timex Expedition Camper Men's 39 mm Watch

Hands down this is the best watch I've gotten so far. I love my Infantry watch but with 24mm bands it's a big sucker. Then there is my Timex Expedition Gallatian which comes in at 22-23mm which is just perfect for my size wrist. It's a perfect fit and I LOVE the Velcro "Fastwrap" strap that comes with it. This is the nicest looking watch Timex has done in a long time. I have worn their Expedition watches before, usually my watch of choice for deployments, because they are basically indestructible. And if they do get scuffed or beat up, they do not cost a fortune to replace.I like the features of this particular watch. The rotating bezel is a major plus. The crystal is slightly recessed behind the bezel to protect it from scratches. And the watch is waterproof. This is my 5th or 6th Expedition watch in this model. This is the best watch in the world! Why? I travel a lot and do pro bono work in various foreign countries. This watch is not fancy and you won't have anyone chopping your arm off to get a it vs what will happen to you if you have a Rolex or some fancy-smancy Swiss snob watch. Watch is okay, but very, very small compared to most watches a man might wear. My usual watch (I have dozens) is an automatic "diver" style, much larger and heavier. But if you want something that's small and unobtrusive, and so light you don't know it's on your wrist, this may be the one for you. My previous problems with Timex were due to the thousand year battery, combined with a one or two year watchband. So, I buy a watch and wear it for a year or so till the band breaks, then throw it into a drawer and get another. I have had the identical model watch for almost 20 years. Much like many of the other reviews, the crown fell off when resetting the time to a new time zone. I guess the watch was made a bit more sturdy decades ago and something about the manufacturing process changed. My watch is not easily fixable because the stem itself broke and cannot be repaired; it would need a new stem and crown since the end of the stem is still stuck in the crown.
