Timex Women's Expedition Metal Field Mini 26mm Watch

I didn't take a star off like I almost did, because the watch itself is really good. Unfortunately, they sold me a used or returned watch and called it new. The main issue with that is when it's actually new, you need to remove a plastic tab to make battery start up. They do that because it extends battery life. This watch was next to the plastic holder in the box, not on it, rattling around the box with watch already running. So I'll need a battery much sooner, and I hope it's not damaged from the watch being loose in its box. I might keep it, or I might get my money back and buy it directly

I only received my watch 2 days ago so I can only comment on the appearance:The face is clean and easy to read - no date which I prefer. The face of the watch I received is a little darker than the "off white" of the picture. I would describe the color as light beige. Size given is correct (26mm) about the size of a quarter. The case is metal and is a good weight - not too heavy for comfort, but no so light it slides around on your wrist. The hands are not luminous - the face of the watch lights up when you press the stem. I really find this feature very handy. It is an attractive casual watch

I've had this watch a few months and really like it. It is very comfortable to wear and appears to have a solid build, not flimsy and cheap like some other watches at this price point. I wanted something for everyday wear that looked nice for work and casual but wasn't expensive so if it was damaged, it wasn't a big deal. The face is easy to read and is about the size of a quarter. This watch -- Timex T411819 -- has many pluses -- but sadly, a minus or two as well.....This is a very nicely-sized watch. It can be worn by anyone, of course -- but is of the size which (used to be? is?) called a "boy's watch". The diameter is approximately an inch across, and the numers are nicely-sized and readable, without over-powering theface of the watch. Around the outer-most part of the face, are tinier numbers. I bought this watch for a 7 month trip outside the country. It's a great watch. The leather and linen strap is very nice, and the glow in the dark feature was helpful at night.

Purchased as a gift for my friend.She loves the watch! I have quite a collection of various watches...Swiss, Japanese, American, English, German...but I really have a great liking for Timex watches. They're accurate and dependable and tough! They're also very reasonably priced....I believe Timex has been making watches since 1852!

Gave it my wife to substitute for her very expensive watch while she gardens and tends to her forestry. Now, she wears it all the time.
