Timex Men's Classic Digital 34mm Watch

A Decent Low Cost Digital Watch. I've worn these off and on for probably 40 + years. I think this might be my 4th one, but I have been pretty hard on these watches, and they do "Take a licking and keep on ticking." The band is nice, kind of a Chinese Twist-O-Flex that is pretty comfortable. The dial and watch body are plastic so the dial will scratch easily and the chrome will wear off of the watch body, with neither affecting it's operation. I scoured Amazon and the internet for simple and easy-to-read watches, looking for certain features and reading reviews, which takes more time than one would like to calculate. This is a well crafted product for this price point. Nothing too fancy, but it works well. And, no big hit to the wallet if you lose it. The instructions aren't shipped with the watch, so you do have to Google around to find those. That said, the instructions are simple once you find them. My father-in-law has had this watch for about 10 years. About every two, I have to change the battery (he is 96 years old and changing the battery is really painful surgery). For him, this is a great watch. It comes with a flexible metal band that holds up great and fits his thin wrist. It has a large digital screen with a back light so he can easily see the time. I don't often write reviews. But I felt compelled to write one this time. More years ago than I care to think of I purchased one of timex's first models of this watch. As I recall, it had a backlight that glowed all the time. The only thing I did with that watch was replace the band. I wore it for years and enjoyed it very much. When I saw that timex was still making a version of that watch I had to get one. I am very happy with the new version. It appears the case is made out of different material. The watch is functional and does what it's supposed to do, but the face of the watch gets easily scratched. I've had it less than a year and there are so many scratches I can barely read the time (and I'm not using it for any construction projects, just casual wear).
