Just so everyone is clear, you won't get real Damascus knives for this cheap. These are stainless with a Damascus design etched into the blade. After reading the negative review, I was a little concerned about the set I had ordered. They arrived yesterday, and are gorgeous. Extremely sharp. Good heft. I have no idea why the negative reviewer said cheap or flimsy, because they feel really solid. Not flimsy at all. I’ve thrown out the old, cleverly colorful knives that I had purchased to cheer us up during Covid lockdown. These knives mean business! Slice, dice without strain. Great set for a decent price.

Decent set of knives for the price. They look good, have a nice weight to them and are very sharp. On the flip side they have already started to rust a little bit. Also the blades aren't wide enough in my opinion. It makes them uncomfortable use for long periods of time and my knuckles tend to hit the cutting board which makes it hard to make a full cut. Also I broke the handle on one knife by dropping it on tile. So they are somewhat fragile. But that one is my fault. I decided to order this set because most students buy the sets sold in our bookstore. I didn’t want to have the same knives as everybody else in class. I’ve noticed they have to sharpen their knives almost weekly, I do not. Chef frequently complements the sharpness of my knife. I also don’t have to worry about mine getting mixed up because the beautiful purple handle distinguishes it. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I've had these knives for close to a year now. They're still sharp. Some of the smaller knives have some very slight rust pitting here and there, but that's from me using them as utility knives, and running them through the dishwasher. 90% of the time I hand wash them. I feel like these have been a good value for the money.

I bought these as a gift for my husband who is in culinary school. He really likes them. I myself am not a chef, but I feel like they are a good weight and they are super sharp. They only thing was a hand full of people got the same ones in his class.
