AAA batteries, fairly reliable (e.g. same measurement every time within 0.1 or 0.2 grams), good max capacity - over 10 pounds, good scale size. Only drawback is it isn't a easy to turn off - have to hold the power button for 3 seconds.I've had 4 scales in the past 3 or so years, this is definitely the best and likely won't have to buy another as it is waterproof :-)

My 3rd kitchen scale using for grams. Best ever, great accuracy & tested with my calibration weights of .5g 1g, 5g, 10g and 20g. Very accurate, at low end and mid range when I tested. I don't use for anything more than 2 lbs.

Works okay. I bought it mostly for the water resistance rating. The accuracy or weight registration seems to be pretty bad from 0.5 to 1 g range and instructions note minimum weight is 0.5 g. I'll put an ingredient that I know is 0.5 to 1 g and it will not show anything on the screen. I have to keep adding product until it jumps to maybe 2 g. I guess I need to buy a separate scale for those low weight measurements which I was trying to avoid.Big plus is it doesn't have those annoying beeps like some other models do.
