Nice set of knives, well made & sharp

Very, very nice set. I have bought and returned about 7 sets, and finally settled for this one. I first ordered the Henkel set, but the block was too big for the limited space I have. That happened with all the sets I ordered. Then Knife Saga, same problem.This Cuisinart set is perfect, and I love that the steak Knives aren't serrated. These are very sharp, and I already cut my thumb without out hardly touching the knife. The caps are shiny chrome that looks great next to my chrome toaster. I haven't used the yet other than on my finger, but I do highly recommend these.

My friend's mom has this set and I knew I wanted my own the second I used hers. The main chef's knife is heavy, balanced, and comfortable, as are the the Santoku knife and the slicing knife. They come extremely sharp out of the box, and the grind tells me that future whetstone sharpenings will be a breeze. My only complaint about this set is that the shears and the steak knives feel cheap. Wish they would have used the same full tang construction for the steak knives that they used for the rest of the set.The knives that matter are well-made. Just before Thanksgiving I was down to one chopping knife. As I was searching for knives, I saw these in the block. When my children were under 10, my husband and I made a personal decision to not have knives on the counter. Anything food that required cutting and chopping, we did it for them. Even when the knives needed sharpening, my husband and I did it. During the 2019 holiday season, I realized that those knives had had their best days.For me, the purchase of the knives was a fantastic idea. I bought these for my granddaughter and her husband for a gift. I was a little shocked on the weight of the steak knives, they were very light. They like them so we will see how the hold up. Keeping fingers crossed.

These were a gift for my mom; a replacement for the awful, plastic Farberware set I purchased. Cuisinart is a great brand and these don't disappoint. I was skeptical looking at other reviews, but after 2 months, these are still in perfect condition. There is no rust at all and they're put in the dishwasher. They're sturdy, extremely sharp and look fantastic on the counter. After several uses, the sharpener is used and cutting things like soft tomatoes is a breeze. The handles could be a little more solid or heavy, but I have to believe that it was designed this way for ease in holding.

I love to eat, however, I hate to be in the kitchen. I hate cooking. Luckily, my hubby takes care of most of the cooking. When I DO help out, I used this Cuisinart knife set. It is the best set we have ever had. Sturdy, and sharp. I was able to cut through watermelon and hard vegetables with relative ease. I'm not one to praise kitchen utensils--but this one was worth the buy and highly recommend.
