I’ve purchased many scales in the past to help measure my dogs food. They are both Chihuahuas so, a little bit off makes a big difference on much they get fed. I had the biggest loser scale before and it worked great. , However, it finally died after I spilled something on it. I bought two other scales that were just absolutely wildly accurate. I had an OXO scale that I loved before purchasing this one, but it did not have the precision I needed for soap making and it maxed out at 5 pounds. This works well enough for soap making and baking. The rubber feet come off though, making the scale tip and the measurements inaccurate. Eventually the missing foot will turn up or I found some replacements. Do yourself a favor and put them on with E6000 glue from the start. The auto off time of 2 minutes is reasonable for my needs. Seems well built

I have 2 cats and they both seem to have a highly developed sense of weight/volume. Particularly when it comes to their food portions. Before I bought this product, they would jockey around examining portion size/volume and go for the perceived larger portion with sometimes unfortunate results that required the squirt gun to calm them.
