Unfortunately this scale stop weighing properly. As a Sourdough baker it's very important to have proper measurements as also in any baking.I did follow instructions and changed the batteries. I took a scale weight when I realized it didn't seem right and the scale was off by a huge amount. Unfortunately I don't know how long this has been going on but I'm glad I caught it.I will say the plate for measurements was great to be able to put large bowls on and be able to see the measurements but it's not worth replacing because I'm afraid it's going to happen again.So if you are looking to purchas

I have had this scale for 4 months and am finally fed up enough to just throw it away. I use a scale daily to measure my food. I need the scale to sit on my counter but this one starts on its own any time the counter is touched and if I don't notice, will stay on and use the battery until the auto cutoff at 15 minutes. Batteries are not rechargeable so it's not just a matter of recharging; you have to replace the batteries. Even more annoying is that almost every time I try to use it, the display will get erratic, changing units, setting "tare" and "hold" all on its own while the reading flash

I really wanted to love this scale, but I have to give it 3 stars. I bought this scale because I bake a lot of bread and needed a scale with a bigger surface area to sit my bowls on and still be able to read the measurements. There is a lag on the measurements, meaning when I add something to the bowl, I have to wait and it will fluctuate 2-3 grams. I also cannot add fine items like salt or instant yeast directly to the bowl as it will not even read that there's an addition being added. It's very sleek looking but not very accurate. This is exactly what I needed. I had another scale I got off Amazon 5 years ago that stopped showing accurate numbers (it would slowly climb on its own). This is a large enough surface to put my mixing bowls on so I can measure as I go. It's not too heavy, which is great since I keep mine in a bottom drawer and bring it out as needed. The buttons are very sensitive, but I haven't had any issues with it accidentally deleting progress like other people have reported. Just be careful about where you rest your hands while you're using it and you'll be fine!

I love this scale! I have 3 other scales at home for different uses, one of which is my biggest that broke, so this has replaced it. It’s been a really big upgrade from my old scale! The size is great so I can more easily fit bowls on top and still see the number, and I love how sleek it looks. Very easy to use, but it’s a scale, of course it’s easy. I’m a big fan of KitchenAid products, and this one is another easy win for me!
