    using TIVO stream on old Sony

    I got a Tivo Stream device that I wanted to use on our old Sony Trinitron. It is one of those HD TVs that were massive and it is so old it . does not have HDMI. It had RCA and YPBPR so we tried an RCA converter first. It worked but we lost the decent picture quality. This converter/scaler does the same thing but the picture quality is way better. I could get 480 and 720 but not 1080. I am very happy with this since the TV still works and we can get apps through the Tivo. Also, the audio cables are separate so we could connect those to our receiver and not have to listen through the terrible TV

    I won’t get that cinematic look but it gets the job done.

    This HDMI to component adapter is ok, it worked and was very easy to set up. I had a lot of static on screen in 1080 mood. It would only allow 720, the picture quality wasn’t terrible just a little flat. But it got the job done. Especially because my HDMI input is damaged.
