HDMI to S-Video RCA Converter, 1080P Input, Easy Installation, No Software Required

The unit works very well, I am able to see the NTSC Video signals on my Oscilloscope.The 1st photo shows a complete line of video, The 2nd photo shows the close-upof the Vertical sync pulse and Color-burst waveform.

The unit lowers the video quality somewhat and reduces the audio level but is still very watchable. I am quite satisfied with the unit overall.

I am an A/V guy who does a variety of different things. One thing missing was being able to analog audio record from a HDMI source. So I purchased this unit. So far, 6 days running, the audio works great! Zero issues as of yet! However, one issue with the video reproduction using the CV & Y/C outputs... Aspect Ratio is changed!!! Now, for the purpose in-which I bought it for, Flawless Victory! This unit works as advertised, even providing S-video, which likely improves picture quality.My only (petty) qualm is the funny way it resets by default to PAL every time you cut power and reapply it. So you do have to click to get NTSC again. This won’t bother anyone who leaves the unit on 24 hours a day, of course. And I’m already used to this… I have to manually reactivate my sound bar too, after going into the garage and turning on all the power.

No matter what I tried, the unit would not produce any workable signals. When I did finally get a signal, it was going in and out of color to black and white, and the signal wasn't clean and clear. It looked as if it had a dotted pattern. Tried multiple cables, multiple inputs and outputs, but the issue was identical in both PAL and NTSC modes. Tried different resolutions going into the device but the issue was the same. I'm within the Amazon Prime 45-day return period, but the option didn't show up when I tried to return it. I CANNOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY SELL BAD PRODUCTS.

Very happy with this purchase! I’m a big fan of physical media and so this was the perfect solution for recording DVDs of movies from my FiOS DVR. The HDMI input and the S-video output provide noticeably better picture quality than the standard yellow composite cable that most video converters come with. And the playback quality of the recorded DVDs on a player with built in upscaling is amazing. Highly recommended.

Used the HDMI to S-video RCA converter to connect a new cable box to an older Panasonic DVD burner. The unit worked as advertised and the picture is great.

Usually I try to look at the good reviews of the product and ignore the bad ones… I did that here and well it didn’t work… I bought a similar one prior to this and only worked for 1 use this one however never worked.
