HOSHANHO 3 Pieces Knife Set, Japanese Kitchen Knife Set, Rosewood Handle

First of all, I want say that I am a collector of high-end Japanese artisan knives. I’ve included a photo of some of the knives in my collection from Masakage, Shinkio, Yokeshane, Matsubera, Shiro Kamo and Yu Kurosaki. I am not saying that this knife comes close to these in quality. It can compete, but for $35, I’m amazed at what this knife is capable of. Is it thick on the spine? Yes, I’ll share that in the photos, but the grind is actually quite nice. It's a laser beam. It cuts if you think about it. Easy to sharpen, I've never had to use anything but a 3000 grit stone and a leather strop to keep it that way. Excellently weighted for big chopping tasks like chopped salads or getting through potatoes and whatnot. Just about the perfect chef's knife for a home cook. Has no signs of rust (but I take care of it too). Don't buy these if you put knives in dish washers, friends don't let friends put their high quality knives in dish washers.

Very sharp, but even though they are Japanese designed and made with Japanese steel, they are made in China, just in case that's important to you. Knives look great and mom loves them. Will see how well they fare a year from now but right now I would say they're worth the money.

I bought this knife for my wife as a gift, this is typically the only knife that she will use for preparing vegetables and proteins.It has stated very sharp, you can push straight down on any vegetable and it cuts through easily. You don't need to slice with it.I to am impressed at how this knife functions.

Only reason you get a 1 start is because I request to cancel my order before it was shipped.And you still decided to ship the canceled order.Otherwise the knifes are sharp.

This is the second time I've bought this knife. Everything is great. It cuts perfect. It's sharp. It's all good but it keeps on coming slightly curved down the spine I mean you get what you get for 30 bucks. It's got a good weight but it just keeps on coming bent I don't know if I'm just an unlucky a customer or what
