Great modem that was very easy to setup. Do be aware that this modem does take a while to cycle when you first power it up. It took about 15 minutes for my to properly setup. I have gig speed internet through Xfinity and needed a modem that would allow me to access my full speeds. With my previous CM1000 I was only getting about 250mbps. With my computer hooked directly to this modem I am seeing speeds 1400mbps which is well above what I actually pay for. Holy Cr.... Well I've had multiple CM1200s, tried a surfboard, and one other random brand.Best I've got to date was around 800Mb/s on a 1k Mb line. With the 1200's.This thing throttled at 1131 on it's first test and it's repeating.Spectrum internet in Chattanooga, TN. The senior tech showed me noise in the lines in my area, forcing higher frequency negotiation on the part of the modem. I have 1 gig service but am falling short of that speed by about 200-300 depending on what time of day it is.It may not be this cable modem. It could be Cox service, the router, or cables, but the router is new and is very high end (Asus Rog Strix GE-BS18000)I have a feeling it is the actual cable supplied by Cox because it is going through a splitter.I upgraded, well actually a bit of overkill, with cat 8 cables which improved the speed a slight bit.Overall it is a good cable modem.
