NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6 Router R6700AX, Up to 1,500 sq ft, 1.8 Gbps

I don’t know what took me so long to replace my old router. This new router was fairly easy to set up and now I have super fast Internet. I’m not sure what expensive routers can do that this one can’t do, but I’m glad I went with the budget friendly kind because it is great!

Bought this NETGEAR Nighthawk to avoid paying Spectrum for a router. If you're a Spectrum customer, this router works with the Spectrum modem. It arrived this morning and after 20 minutes it's up and running. We live in a one floor, 1500 square foot condo. Coverage is excellent throughout on 10 devices. It's an easy set up **IF** you plan ahead. My previous router got trashed by a lightning strike that surged into the household current. I set up the user name and password to be exactly as the old router and everything simply reconnected as if nothing had happened. However, you should still take the time to thoroughly review all the settings to make certain everything is to your liking. Great product.

Update: Router quit after six months use. NetGear tech support is a joke. After contacting them with basic information about the problem, their response was question after ridiculous question. One thing they asked for: A picture of the front of the thing to show status of the 'Internet' LED. I had told them it was flashing a consistently timed on/off. I told them that a static picture was useless. The pic might show the LED 'on', it might show the LED 'off'. Good basic workhorse router, but if you are NOT a gamer,here are some tips (advice) for security & performance that might make you happier in the long run:[Google each item if you need more explanation. Good connectivity, for even the 5G which has a short range of connectivity. And with one month free of Armor protection, I get to scan all my devices for vulnerabilities upon connection. If it lasts long, then this would be a good buy.

I am not great with router setup, so I was dreading this one. But this router is the easiest one I've ever set up. Out of the box, it's incredibly easy to set up the device. Then, using the app, the instructions on how to get the network up and running were very easy to follow. Device is fast and reliable.
