We are in love with this blender. We do not need to make two 48 ounce protein shakes at once, just one or two normal sized shakes. So the pitcher size works for us - your mileage may vary on that, as our old blenders had larger capacity. Such a great blender! Our daily use had discolored our previous blender with a plastic container. Using this Oster with the glass is so much better. The blade us excellent and the machine is QUIET! So happy with it and it looks beautiful on our countertop.

This is my second Oster blender, repurposed the first one for a rental property. This one looks cool and works fine, does what I need it to do, which is blend smoothies and bean soup, etc. I wondered about having only 3 speeds, but when you think about it, how many speeds do you really need? Low, medium and high work just fine for me.As for the noise a lot of reviews mention, jeez - doesn't seem all that loud to me. Louder than my older one? Not sure. I rarely leave product reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with this one. I've been a loyal customer of this brand for years, and this particular blender model had been a favorite in our household. Unfortunately, it didn’t even last a month. After just a few uses, it suddenly stopped working. I also noticed issues like leaking and a noticeably weak motor. Really disappointing, especially given our past positive experiences with the brand. Such a bummer.

I've had a Vitamix for decades+. Due to health issues, I am removing toxins where possible. I am disappointed that Vitamix continues to raise the price for a non-toxic container, now at $250. This is prohibitive for most, especially for those with high medical costs. This type of exploitation and lack of concern about the health consequences of consumers leaves me to question the companies ethics. I bought this Oster with low expectations and it surprised me. Great quality; easy to clean, I use it to mix my coffee and butter. Keeps it very hot. Thick glass. I would recommend.

Plastic casing seems cheap. Had it for 3 months and still holding up. Time will tell
