I love this scale, and I would buy it again. It really IS waterproof (although I haven't tried to use it under water). I wash it off all the time, and it has never had an issue with water. The only thing I would improve is the battery life. I've been using this scale about 2-3x/day for almost exactly 3 months, and I've replaced the batteries 3 times now. I wasn't too surprised when the manufacturer-supplied batteries died after about a month, but I am surprised that it continues to need batteries approximately every month. I found this scale on Amazon by accident. We have had several portable kitchen scales with glass tops in the past. Used to, because eventually food got stuck in basically every crevasse it possibly could have until it stopped working because the buttons could no longer be pressed. Ilch.
