These are excellent knives that are very sharp. I like that the steak knives removable from the block as a set, this is an awesome feature. While I do like that the knives are held by magnets on the block, the very first time I placed the knives on the block out of the box, I scratched the wood. I would suggest that the consumer is careful anytime they store the knives on the magnetic block to not scratch the wood. I wonder if there is a sealent that the manufacturer can consider to make it more difficult to scratch the wood when storing the knives.
