I got this specifically to use as a dog camera. I had been using a Furbo, but the subscription cost is just too much for what I actually need. I bought this because I wanted a streaming camera for my birdfeeder, but birdwatching cameras are out of my price range as someone just starting out in birdwatching.It came with a quick start guide, and then everything else was explained through the tapo app. I'm not a techy person. Had some issues with Set Up but once I figured it out, the camera seems to work good. I said it in my front window so it does not work at night. I also need a microSD card which I haven’t purchased yet to save video. Otherwise a great deal once you figure out the quirks.

I needed these cameras to set up at my mom’s house so I could keep an eye on her after she had a pretty traumatic fall. The picture is clear, you can set it for person detection only (great if you have a dog or cat) and you can make it detect in only a certain section of the view so it’s not going off if someone is sitting or in bed.
