Tapo 2K Dual Lens Pan/Tilt Security Battery Camera w/Solar, C645D KIT

I’m very happy with this camera. The image quality is very clear both during the day and at night, and I really like the dual-lens design because it provides better coverage. Setup was easy and the app works very well. The solar panel is also a great feature since I don’t have to worry about charging it all the time. Great quality and an excellent choice for outdoor security.

I’ve had this camera up for a bit now and I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect to like it as much as I do.Getting it set up was way less of a headache than I thought it would be. So far, So good! This is an initial review of the Tapo C645D outdoor solar powered camera. Very easy to install and set up. The video quality is extremely crisp. The tilt-pan feature is excellent. The dual camera constantly provides a panoramic view of the area in which it is pointed. The price for the camera was even better. I’ve had the Tapo C645D Kit for a couple of weeks now, and honestly, it’s been working really well. This is the second unit I bought. The dual-lens setup is super handy, one gives you a wide view and the other zooms in on details, so I don’t really miss anything. I discarded another brand of cameras because they got greedy for subscriptions and bricked my elderly, yet functional first generation cameras. Therefore I could no longer sync them with their base station. I have purchased multiple cameras from Tapo. I’m satisfied with all of them. I bought this particular camera the C645D to cover my driveway. It uses a Solar panel to charge the battery. It will detect vehicles, people, and animals. Overall, I’m satisfied with this camera. It has a clear picture. And it was easy to install. I have only two negative comments about this camera. First the stationary camera needs a hood or a visor over the top to block out some sun that glares in the lens. Purchased to watch over my RV remotely while not at site. This camera perfectly fits the need. Easy to set up, adjust, define look-at and motion areas, and view video. Responds well to commnads and you don't need to subscribe to a cloud service to see detection videos. Installed an Extreme256GB SD card which provides days of storage. The solar panel works well and easily keeps the battery topped off day-to-day. Highly recommend.

Overall solid camera with good functionality and easy to set up and use. Lots of cool features.We ordered two. One was working well; the other won’t charge. We are using the solar charging for both. We will troubleshoot the dead camera and see if it’s the panel or the unit but will likely need to return that one if we can’t resolve. The picture quality is great. Setup was a snap. It has lots of cool features. I don’t like that to record you either have to buy memory or pay for cloud storage but I guess that’s the way of the world now.
