Purchased June 16th. Great pictures and very reliable. This was a replacement for my Ring system. The onboard micro sd and lack of a paid subscription are actually a plus. There is virtually no lag with the camera waking on motion and records for the duration of the motion. Live view and recorded events are viewable via home wifi and an app on either phone or tablet. Battery powered cameras are severely limited. I knew this going in. It was cheap, it was easy to put up, it works well. It definitely lags around 3-4s from reality due to the WiFi-only connection. It’s not possible to record these to an NVR since they only record when they detect something or your battery would die quickly.By far the biggest problem with every battery powered camera is that every recording inevitably starts with the subject well into the frame (in the best case scenario). I wanted this camera to install at our front door to watch the front porch, sidewalk and driveway without having to run power wire to the placement. I had this camera up and running very quickly, connected to my wifi and the Tapo app, and the mount installed near the front door with one screw inside 1 hour. We've had it up for a little over a month and it's working great for us. Both the wife and I have the app on our phones and ipads, and we both have set it for alerts when there is "motion" or a "person" detected. Excellent Camera, live the fact that I dont have to subscribe to a service for it to work. Great photo quality, live all the little features, like the spot light, two way talk and alarm. Color night vision is very nice to have! Definitely will recommend to anyone that asks

Edit:Now 2 days into dealing with TP-Link customer service. The positive is that the representative that I actually spoke to on the phone was polite and helpful enough, even though all we did was walk through *exactly* all of the troubleshooting steps that I've already taken, and already communicated that I've taken, via email. The additional "good" thing is that they've agreed to replace the cameras because all of the troubleshooting efforts failed to remedy the problem.The bad thing is that this is the most convoluted RMA process I've ever been involved with.
