Great camera, good app, and RTSP works perfectly. No need to pay a monthly fee for a cloud account to save the videos, this one records to a microSD card (purchased separately) and plays the recording back on demand. It supports microSD sizes up to 512 GB, so you should never run our of storage space for motion triggered recordings. Very easy to use and connect. The night vision is perfect. The video feed is pretty responsive depending on your internet connection. The quality of the feed is good and can be chosen at whatever resolution you like, whether its 720P or 2K. I get notified by motion or person detection. Sometimes person detection is inaccurate (ie sometimes leaves on a tree rustle will be picked up as a person). Overall, it is a great security camera without having to get a subscription.

Great image. I use this camera in my garage. Not only do I like to keep and eye on the two cars, but I also like to see who is coming into the house. 95% of the people coming in to the house are through the garage. It was easy to set up and get connected to my home network. I use an old laptop as the monitor in my office to keep an eye on things. It also has an app for my phone so I can control it and make changes. This was a replacement for an older 1080p camera and I am pleased with it.

I have been installing and setting Up camera systems for folks in their homes and businesses And have Dealt with many systems and brands. There is no one system that is meant for everybody. Depending on where they live, the Wi-Fi might not be that great, they may have a need for only a few cameras, and then others need a full system. The ones that need full systems are rarely ever in need of a full system. However, in that event, we usually install Lorex systems that have a hard drive and no Cloud storage fees.What makes these cameras great is the fact that they can hold up to a 512 GB memory

Tapo, these are great cameras. The motion activated tracking does NOT go back to the correct position after a few activations. Might be because of how high up i have it. Idk. Consider a slightly wider field of view aperture with the next revision. Its at the peak of my garage under the peak (2 story) looking down towards the driveway. I have a 3 spot driveway and a walkway and can not see all three spot and the walk way. And with the tracking return being hit and miss, i dont want to miss one area when it could easily get all of it.But honestly, im being picky. Its been great so far. Wifi conn

UPDATE 7-20-25The issue with the camera shutting down appears to be a voltage drop in the power wire. I have upgraded rating to 4 stars. Due to the location of the camera, the USB-A cable was insufficient for the 60' length I needed. I found an alternative AC connection so the wire is now 30' and has been stable for about 1 day. The previous report of low WiFi signal was not accurate. I will probably send the WiFi estender back, since I have at leat "good" WiFi at -42db without it.Support though is still bad. Yet another unansweredd support email to them. I get the confirmation that it was rec
