Honestly I bought this because a built a hood years ago with a temporary hand built fan system in it, and this was pretty much one of three that fit the dimensions I needed.Since using it for months now, I can honestly say it is a great range hood.Great fan suction, not super quiet, but not super loud. Easy to remove grilles that I pop into the dishwasher.And lastly, what I though was more of a novelty, the hand gesture. I can tell you it comes in handy, and works perfectly. The extraction power is very good
Works, installed ok. Very disappointed in the power of the fan. Dried, making steaks once it was installed and set off the smoke alarm twenty seven times. Pretty much worth it worthless. And cost me a thousand dollars to install. So I have this really nice light over my stove.
I have now been using this Vikio fan pretty regularly in my kitchen for SIX MONTHS and feel comfortable reviewing it.The fan overall is modern, good looking, and fits perfectly above my 30" range. It's also pretty powerful, has very good suction and extracts heat and odors very efficiently. (Because the fan is powerful, it's a bit louder than I'd like, but not enough to be a deal breaker.)The lighting is ample, but is a cool white--(I personally wish it came with an option for warm white so it would better match the other lighting in my kitchen, but the cool white, again, isn't a deal breaker)
