Literally such a good product for someone living on her own! You can make up to 4 cups cooked rice in it and the instructions are very clear. The first time you use it, there is a bit of a plastic burning smell but I haven't noticed it impacting the quality and it didn't smoke so it should be fine! It's a great rice cooker but it's too small. When it says 2 uncooked rice makes 4 cups cooked rice. It really doesn't seem that way. The price for a small rice cooker is what I didn't like. I paid less than this before and it made more rice

The first one I got sent by Amazon was clearly a return based on how it was packaged. It was also dented and was missing the measuring cup (which is important bc the “cup” size for this rice cooker is smaller that 8oz). Amazon sent me another one, and asked to return the 1st one. Haven’t tried the steamer yet but the rice is perfect. I have the 6-8 cup version of this and got tired of wasting rice for two people. This portion size is just enough and so much easier to clean. Cooks fast also because its less to prepare. Love the one switch no guessing on what function to use. And rice stay warm even when on the counter away from the base unit. Color is more off white than white and I prefer it. Super cute and I can wash my rice now with one hand.
