Aroma Housewares 8-Cup (Cooked) (4-Cup UNCOOKED) Cool Touch Rice Cooker (ARC-914S)

We bought this rice cooker in October of 2024 and have used it many, many times. We love the cooker and its results so much that we have repeatedly recommended it and bought it as gifts. There is nothing I could say that would be over-selling this great cooker. Just follow the simple instructions and the results will be more than satisfying.

The unit appeared defective on first use as the warm light never came on, it was instantly on cook which is okay since it apparently turn the warm light on after the switch pops. Quick cook time, the instructions didn't work for me too little water using the Lines on the pot, will go back to using finger. Tbh this is a $20 item but with inflation and being a lazy p.o.s., it's not bad.

I love this rice cooker! I have had it for over 4 years now and we use it several times a week, and it's still going strong!It's simple, it's straight forward, it works! Cook, warm and off/unplug are your option and it's all you need for perfectly cooked rice! It cooks up any kind of rice, including brown rice (which is what we do mostly) just right!It can spit a little bit from the steam vent on top of the lid if I put too much brown rice in it, but opening the lid a couple of times during boiling time or not overfilling it in the first place (which is entirely my fault) takes care of that pr

I had a 10 year old Aroma rice cooker that finally gave up the ghost. I purchased this one as a replacement. It worked for about three days and then stopped turning on. Amazon replaced it with one that quit working after just one use. I got a full refund and went back to cooking rice in a pot on the stove.

Basically this is a time saver. I live alone, but I cook a lot. I also have basically zero free time, so anytime I can sit down and have a drink or watch a little TV, play with the dog or cats (the source of my lack of free time, human/slave pet me, human/slave feed me, human/slave why you steal my poop?) it's a plus, perhaps a luxury. Love it. This is the third one I've ordered from Aroma and I can't say enough about it. It's simple to use and we usually cook in it several times a week. A lot of the time I'll double the amount and freeze the leftover rice in individual serving bowls. When ready to use, I take off the lid, put a damp paper towel over the bowl, nuke it for 40 seconds and voila...perfect rice. Yum!
