This is our first rice cooker, and we are totally pleased with its performance. We have noted that there is some browning of the rice on the bottom, but we don't object to this. We tend to make one or two cup amounts, and have found that increasing the amount of liquid beyond the recommended amount has cut the browning significantly. Basmati, Jasmine, and mixed white/wild rice all come out just fine. I think it's a great value.

This little rice cooker is just awesome. We are just cooking for two now unless the kids and grandkids come over which does happen. But this thing will cook up eight cups of cooked rice so that's plenty.Listen, I don't know how it does it but it cooks up polenta and oatmeal better.... A lot better than I can do it on the stove.No more getting burned by popping polenta or oatmeal boiling over on the stove making a mess, burning to the bottom when I get distracted. We enjoy both of the units we purchased but one of the condensation collectors has cracked. We are unable to find a replacement piece for it. That would be very helpful. Cooks well and easy to use.

Y’all this thing cooks rice real good. However, it does not do it a hurry. You will wait. My husband and son say it’s the best rice, so maybe it’s worth the loooong time it takes to cook it. But be prepared to start this early in your meal cooking process. If not, everything else will be done, and you’ll be waiting on this machine.

Rice cooker from heaven. Easy instructions and easy cooking no mess. Having messed up rice since buying. Performs to perfection and rice looks eatible. Light weight easy to store.

First rice cooker we've ever owned and it's worked well for us. All we've used it for is to cook rice (white/brown/basmati/jasmine), usually just one uncooked cup at a time. A couple weeks short of its sixth birthday, it quit working and displayed an E4 error message, which the internet says means there's a problem with a sensor or some wiring. We unplugged it and tried it again the next day - and again got the E4. In 6 years, the price has gone up $1 so I just ordered a new one rather than having it repaired or looking at it myself.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This product sucks. First off, it’s slow! It takes over an hour to make steel cut oats. Steel cut took 30m in our last rice cooker!On top of that, If you load more than 2 cups of material, then it will spit goop out of the vent on the top and cover your tabletop with scalding goop. It is messy! Overloading may cause this with any cooker, but it takes virtually no material to overload this one, because it always be spitting goop. Always.Finally? It can’t be cleaned. Ever. I LOVE this rice cooker!! It makes the perfect oatmeal and once I figured out the rice settings to cook how I like my rice that was great! I also made the most indulgent grits in them!! Great for big families!! It's so easy to use and looks gorgeous with the gunmetal color! I love to just set it and forget it on busy days! I can't wait to try the steamer or to make a cake!!
