This gets 5 stars across the board from me. I bought it to steam rice, of course,, but found myself using it for so much more. I've made so many whole dinners in here with the steamer tray for fish and veggies,,, but also used the pot for soups and sfews. I have even done omelets. Love to cook pasta in here too. And,,,,, yes,,, I have done pop corn. It is very versatile. I hand wash and it's easy to clean,,, and it's light. I really have no negatives. The price was right also.

I was so happy with my smaller Aroma rice cooker that I purchased a larger size. I use this for so much more than just cooking rice. It is such a versatile kitchen appliance. It’s also nonstick and easy to clean. It cooks in about 30 minutes, with some variation depending on what you’re cooking.

I've been remembering Bill Clinton when he said "Well, that all depends on what your definition of 'is' is." With this 14 cup rice cooker it all depends on what Aroma's definition of "cup" is. Turns out their definition of our standard 8 oz cup is "3/4 cup", thus making their 14 cup machine an actual 10 1/2 cup machine. I'm belaboring the "cup" thing because if a person uses the std 8 oz cup to measure rice and water when using this machine, you will end up producing large clouds of steam and a big tsunami all over your counter. This is my first product review ever, but since I do rely on these myself for online purchases, I felt I needed to contribute.So far I'm very impressed with the outcome of this cooker. I've done just plain rice, chili, and jambalaya so far. ALL turned out great. I had a rice cooker for years that was really junk (as it turns out, by comparison) and pretty much resorted to boiling rice in a pot on the stove. Rice cooking capacity:It advertised a capacity of 7 cups of rice, or 14 cups cooked rice. The "Cup" is not a standard measuring cup size, but their custom measuring cup which is 3/4 of a standard cup size. If they had just made it 5 or 6 standard cups, that would have been just fine, because almost every house has measuring cups. Instead, you have to hope you don't lose their special cup, or you have to go out and find a special 3/4 cup scoop, or do calculations in your head each time you cook using standard cubs to add up to multiples of 3/4 cup.
