I have wanted these Henckels knives for a long time and finally got the opportunity during a Prime Day sale.I can't say enough good things about these knives. They are sharp so be careful! Compared to the dull knives I used before, there is no comparison. These knives easily slice through everything I use them for, mostly meat and veggies. This set contains every type of knife I need, including scissors and a sharpener.I will not allow these beautiful knives to sit in soapy water or the dishwasher, therefore I can't speak to how well they will hold up over time to rusting. You should know that when they say razor sharp, they are not kidding, My husband and I both cook and we have had our new knives about a week. Our other knife set was so dull I think that that was part of our adjustment issue. We both love this set of knives. The wooden block is beautiful and so are the knives. We highly recommend this Henckel knife set.

The steel is arguably soft, but that is typical of european (particularly german) blades. The iron content of this stainless steel is high and the nickel content may be low. I am very happy with this knife set.They arrived razor sharp. Unfortunately, the spine is also very sharp and I keep cutting my fingers on them, thus the four star rating.I still recommend them, just be careful.

I'm pretty sure that this set I just bought is the fourth set in my lifetime. No question of which is the best set and it's the Henckels. My, what a beautiful set of knives, with one for every need in the kitchen or at dinner. The steel is high quality and the blades are thin, a combination which is ideal for ease of use. What strikes you is the hefty handle and the slender blade, providing a great balance in the hand. And, of course, they come razor sharp and also an excellent sharpener is provided with the set. I don't think there is a competing set of knives on the market which can compare.

I've had this knife set for over a year now. I have no cons to it at all. I use the honing rod probably every other time I use the big chef knives, and they're still as sharp and beautiful as the first day I got them. Every single knife is sturdy and feels solid. I hand wash all the sharp blades, but I do run the serrated ones through my dishwasher sometimes because I'm lazy 😅. I like that the prep knives lay on their sides in the block, I think that protects the blades better. The steak knives fit in vertically, but I just put them in upside down so they don't rest on the cutting edge. I don
