Have a dvd /vhs player from 90’s . YES!! Still works and I couldn’t give up on it! With all technology hookups that have changed. This! Came Thru for me!! I bought a new Roku, and within 15 mins .. I was able to view dvd/vhs quality was fine , sound was great! .., Thank God! We can still turn to CH 3 for viewing pleasure.. LOL

Setup with this product was quick and easy. I suspect one of the reviews for this product failed to read the instructions. Unlike some similar products listed, this one has a double function display button. You click it quickly to toggle between 1080 or 720 resolution. You click and hold for two seconds to toggle between various aspect ratios (4:3, 16:9 etc.) Also, FYI, the S-Video cable only delivers the video signal so I needed to attach the RCA Audio cables as well. Honestly this device has helped a lot. You would think that I would want to update date to newer devices but that would take the joy away from scaring small children when they see me using something that they think shouldn't even exist like a rotary phone. Back to the RCA S video HDMI Converter, it works what else does anyone need to know? It has help bring 20 yearly technology back to life without the need of a streaming corporation to learn what I might like to watch so they can sell that information to whoever..

I bought this RCA to HDMI converter hoping to revive old VHS tapes, but the video quality is awful. At first, I thought my VCR or test tape was faulty, but after multiple tries, I realized the converter itself is the issue. The colors are washed out, and the top half of the screen has a noticeable red tint. On top of that, the device feels cheap and flimsy when you hold it. Unfortunately, it’s now just a useless piece of junk since I can’t use it for my project. Definitely wouldn’t recommend! The first picture is with the converter, and the second is without.

Have not been able to use, as it said can connect older game consoles, like n64, but my mind didnt realize the pictures for the svideo were male (need an svideo female pass through adapter). Once I can connect, will update review. The "svideo is a male!" Might be better suited on the first page, or have the adapter included, like you do the rca.

I have had a Cambridge stereo/ dvd,cd player for years but couldn't use it for dvds because it had the S video plug. With this converter I can now use it for my dvds. Works great !!!!
