I just purchased a new home theater system and needed to convert my old cable box from RCA plugs to HDMI for the new system. I purchased a different AV to HDMI converter, but the plug for the USB cord on the box broke off inside the box the first time that plugged the USB cable in. I'm so glad, because, finally something worked. I have tested others to conect my old game console to my kids play the games l used to play in my childhood and that's it: Image, sound, everything is perfect. Is the first time l wrote a review on Amazon, l hope it help others. My tv is a Samsung and it have a USB spot behind, so it helped a lot, because this cable needs an extra USB power to work. I connected everything in less then 5 minutes. Very happy!!!

I bought this to use with an old joystick (the kind you buy at the swap meet that has "76,000+ games"). It worked great.

Exactly what you need to hook up your "old" VCR to your new TV. Product is straightforward and hooks up easily - the 3 colored ends plug into your VCR and the other two ends - one plugs into an HDMI slot and the other either plugs into one of your USB slots on your TV (OR) with an adaptor (like you have with your cell phone for charging ) you can plug it into an exterior power source (it needs power so that is what that extra smaller plug is for). AND voila! you're in business!!!

It did convert our VHS RCA signal to HDMI but the picture quality was very poor.

So it’s okay…..transferring from VHS-C resulted in mediocre video quality. I didn’t expect a lot with such a low cost unit but was hoping for more.

I wanted to try this product to connect to my DVD/VCR combo unit via an HDMI input. Worked like a charm. I have ATT Uverse and while I have to disconnect the HDMI connection, but that is because I only have one HDMI port on my TV.

Plug and play. Works great for my car stereo. Just need to ground the parking brake input wire and good to go.Great for tv as well
