Why have I waited so long?... I guess I couldn't possibly understand the reason for paying so much for a blender. We owned a cheap Osterizer for a couple decades, and it worked just fine for many uses. However, making hummus in that thing was a real pain and took forever. Most disappointing purchase of my adult life. As soon as I turned it on the first time, I could smell the motor burning. I’m very careful with my blenders, it wasn’t even remotely overloaded. Following uses the performance got worse and worse. Could feel it lose power if it ran more than a few seconds straight. Reached out to customer service, filled out their form. Took them at least a week to respond. My message was VERY detailed. But yet their response included a list of questions that were already answered by my initial message. Coming from a blender well over 15yrs old, this was a massive leap into the right direction. I've never had smoothies so smooth and condensed. Programs help simplify everything but the power of this blender, and the ease of cleaning, cannot recommend this enough.

It was probably a decade ago that I first heard about Vitamix from a coworker. He bought one for his wife for Xmas. After some research, I determined it was WAYYYY out of my budget.Many years later, older, and more health-conscious, I started making smoothies with a NutriBullet. It’s super-compact but struggled with blending frozen fruit and ice. The ingredients will get stuck, and the engine struggled.I’ve even had a Breville blender which was still $200 and didn’t do much better of a job. This is my second Vitamix. And I am completely satisfied. It's fast and cuts through any and just about everything with ease. I actually still have the first one. It's about 15 yrs old. I just wanted an updated model. 😊
