    Great racqlette grill!

    Loved it! Cord gets warm and it discolored socket faceplate and we never turned above 3/4. Worked amazing even with 8 diners. Loved it!

    Not Swiss Made But A Nice Set For The Money

    I have friends from Switzerland I’ve known for about 25 years and they have introduced me to various Swiss culinary traditions. I really enjoyed learning the proper way to cook and prepare fondue and when I was invited to partake in Raclette I was intrigued with this method of eating cheese.It’s interesting to note, as stated on the box, that this set was designed in Holland and made in China. Hmm, Swissyland had nothing to do with this endeavor. When I told my friends about this acquisition they understandably rolled their eyes.The set is pretty nice, although pretty simple.     Packaging was great and everything came well protected. Setup is easy and straight forward. A small burn off smell when turned on but it goes away. Tested with some sliced potato, meat, and some veggies. Used a few cheese on bottom. Everything cooked well, especially the cheese. If you use an cheese with decent fat in it, it just slides out of the bottom trays. The top tray is very non stick. After finishing, a simple wipe then wash when cool. Small note, I threw some Colby jack in and sometimes it would pop, splattering oil underneath. Not too big of a problem but don't put something under th

    Fun for group up to eight. Takes a lot of space to store. Cooks faster on top than bottom.

    This is fun for group up to eight. It is a good way of getting party to gather around the table and interact.The little pans and not-very-thin-edged spatulas are a bit awkward to work with.The griddle top works pretty well but does take a while to heat up.Interestingly, the lower cooking level cooks really slowly. I thought it would cook faster since it should have heat from both below and above. It seems like very little heat comes from the bottom.Honestly, I got this because I could try it out to review it. At around $80, it is not a bad deal but it is fairly expensive for something that wil
