bought this based on how much I like an older model that my mom has. I am satisfied with the functionality, just confused by the use of x/8 for fractional ounces. The older unit my mother has uses decimal ounces, and I find that more precise and intuitive.

This is a good looking scale with the bowl used as a cover so it is neat on your countertop. Easy to use and zero to tare or just add more to the bowl till you get the weight you want for each ingredient. Bowl make it easy to pour from it to another bowl or container. Display is easy to read, the only thing that might bother some is that the light goes out after 60 seconds but you can still read the display and you don't loose the weight reading.Highly recommend.

After 30 years my Cuisinart kitchen scale died. So naturally I looked into getting another Cuisinart scale. This one has been upgraded to an even better and simpler useable scale. I fell in love with it the very first time I used it.

This works great - I bought it to replace a cheap one that was inconsistent and inaccurate. This one registers grams right away and is always accurate. A friend recommended it - has had his 12 years.
