Janome JW8100 Fully-Featured Computerized Sewing Machine with 100 Stitches, 7 Buttonholes, Hard Cover, Extension Table and 22 Accessories

I was looking at this machine and the Brother CS6000i because they both have the exact features I was looking for.... most especially full speed control, feed dog drop, extension table, and being computerized. I am most especially interested in quilting and making bags, decorative pillows and accessories such as slippers, as well as warm winter clothing and pajamas. Now the Brother definitely has the price on it's side but I already knew Janome has a reputation for making solid machines that do not wear down quickly and use metal parts wherever possible Well, I went ahead and bought this machi

This little machine is incredible. I've been with Janome machines for years. I also have a Janome 8900QCP that I use the majority of the time. The 8900 is a Lexus, the JW8100 is a Toyota. I mostly use this one as a spare, but I use both - each one has it's duties. Some of the reviews I've read here, are just so not true. Breaking after only 5 months of use? What were you sewing - concrete? These things are work horses - and believe me, I am a sewing machine snob. I put both my machines through the ringer daily. This is truly an exceptional quality sewing machine! I waited 2 weeks to write this review while working on a project made of different types of denim. The machine performs flawlessly, the stitches are very even, no tangles, no problems. I also tried a few embroidery stitches and they came out perfect as well. I LOVE the self-threading feature! I have owned this machine since Jan. 26, 2024I reviewed it on several sites and I know it is a couple years old that is why I was concerned about buying it. I love this machine. I have had it for a few years now and it’s still chugging along. I sew clothing and make several pieces per day without issues. I love the start stop button, the buttonhole option is so easy. It sews fluidly, just overall great.

I am very happy with my purchase. I spent a lot of time reading reviews and trying to figure out what price point to enter the wide range of sewing machine prices. I have a 1960’s singer that I have been using for years while I dabbled with sewing. I finally decided I was ready to upgrade and have more modern features to make things easier.
