Really happy with this camera overall. The image quality is excellent during the day and surprisingly good at night as well. The 4K resolution gives you plenty of detail, and the IR night vision works well without turning the image into an unusable mess.Motion detection has also been very reliable for me. When I moved to a different house I purchased another system to replace an outdated system that was on my new house.I purchased the Reolink 16ch 12mp PoE Camera system with the 4TB HDD in May of 2024. I use this camera with 3rd party NVR software and use RTSP stream for saving 4K video. Out of the box, and even when updated with the latest firmware, the main RTSP stream was very unstable and basically unusable. I contacted customer support, and within 24 hours they hooked me up with beta firmware that solved the issue. Reolink customer support has always been great in my experience, which is why I've now bought four of their cameras now and plan to buy one more.If you are having similar trouble with the 4K RTSP stream, I definitely recommend you contact support and ask if there is newer fir

Solid Fixed Cameras with Great Image QualityThese are simple, fixed dome cameras with digital zoom, and they do exactly what they’re supposed to do.Image quality is sharp with good color during the day, and they perform well at night too. Not great, it can't possibly be with the 8Mbps stream bandwidth at 8MP resolution.It can be used stand-alone or connected to a NVR; standalone can record on an SD card or store on a FTP server.The person/vehicle detection works great if you tweak the parameters a bit for minimum/maximum size plus duration. Unfortunately, this camera does not make the cut when installed as a porch camera pointed *inwards* from the outside (and mounted on the ceiling). The viewing angle needs to be wider to capture a good picture, and the camera is zoomed in quite heavily on the vertical side. Because of that, you have to compromise with what you have:1. Point the camera downwards, and capture the ground so you can look for delivered packages, but miss the faces of people coming and going since it's mainly staring at the ground.or2. Point the camera higher up and capture partially the door and some faces, but miss
