    Great Combo Machine

    I bought this 9 months ago and have been regularly using it as my primary sewing machine and as an embroidery machine. I was replacing a 25+ yr old Kenmore Elite (which got heavy sewing use by me) and looking to start to get into embroidery. I didn't want to pay for 2 machines, so I sought out a sewing/embroidery combo machine.Pros: great features for the money - lots of great convenience things, great "starter" embroidery machine (especially if you're not sure how much embroidery you'll do), lots of accessories (especially presser feet), and active social media community of owners of this mac

    9mm Beautiful Stitches

    I bought this machine because of the 9mm stitch width and all the beautiful stiches designs, plus it runs smooth and easy to understand. Hope it lasts many years of service, Janome has a very good reputation with their sewing machines. I like the machine so far and I am enjoying doing some little projects for my newborn grandchild.

    Janome dropped the ball.

    Not at all worth the price tag. The on board embroidery selection is very rudimentary. It’s very frustrating and expensive to convert files to upload. Janomes customer support is a joke. They do not care. The touch screen is very dated. Very old technology. I’m so disappointed with this machine. I will never buy another Janome machine.

    Great sewing/embriodery machine

    I have had years of sewing experience, I do not recommend this machine for the absolute beginner. The instructions are pretty easy to follow. I have not used the embriodery functions yet, but I expect them to be first rate, true to the Janome brand. So far I am happy with my purchase and look forward to many years of sewing.

    Beautiful stitches and useful machine

    I really really wish the threader would thread the needle. I have vision problems and no matter how carefully i thread it or which thread I use it will not thread the machine. A feature I really hoped would work. I have only had the MC9850 a week and am still working my way thru the manual, which is excellent and easy to follow. The switch from regular straight stitching to embroidery is ver simple. The screen prompts what to do and shows the correct foot and setting which to me is very helpful. I have not attempted the quilting features yet but the stitches are excellent The designs on the ma

    Great machine!

    Love it! Super smooth sewing and lots of accessories. I chose this machine because my mom has a larger version. Very similar. (I guess I'm turning into my mom.) Can't wait to go through her designs and take some home to try. Did I say... I LOVE IT?! ❤️ 😍 💖
