I can tell 100% the difference in my wrist. I type 12 hours a day and was feeling such pain in my wrist and poor grip. Slight angle change makes the world of difference. I was worried about the typing as I really liked the soft touch of my keys, this one is pretty soft too. It is corded as well as the mouse, so that is a disappointment as it takes 2 ports and now more cords everywhere. Another downfall is that it is so much bigger, I cannot have it in my little keyboard drawer and mouse beside, so they take up the desk space. I love the full travel keys and the feel of the soft wrist rest. There is quite a number of special function keys that all operate correctly along with three programmable keys that I can assign desired functions to. There is a prop under the wrists that makes it even more comfortable. This is smooth, easy to use and more comfortable than my last ergo keyboard. The mouse has either a hard plastic or metal wheel that operates smoothly and a comfortable rest for my thumb. I’ve returned to a wired keyboard from my last Bluetooth version for reducing the number of over the air devices in my office.

This is probably the best value I have found in recent years. Different people like different things about keyboards. This is just what I like about it. 1) I developed muscle-memory quickly with it and don't have to look at the keys very much at all. 2) The keys don't travel very far. (I don't like keyboards with keys that I have to push way down.) 3) It doesn't make much noise. It isn't silent, and it doesn't sound as good as an iMac keyboard, and I do wish it was a little bit more quiet, but it's not bad at all and I wouldn't expect better for anything in this price range. They are bidding up the remaining 4000 models to astronomical prices on eBay. So I took a chance on this model. I am a touch typist with serious speed; my old 4000 was used so much that there were only 3 keys with lettering still visible when it finally demanded replacement! My keyboard tray is at the proper level and so I find that the wrist rest of this model is actually more comfortable than the 4000 model. This has a very nice "touch" and there was no adjustment period for the muscle memory at all. Highly recommend this as a replacement!

I purchased this after I purchased Microsoft Sculpt which was good but did not like the 10 key separate from the keyboard. Saw this on Amazon at a used condition but when received, it was pretty much brand new. Also this is much more affordable than the Microsoft Sculpt and works just as well. Takes getting use to since I've been using a standard keyboard for years but I adapted in a couple of days. Now when I use a standard keyboard that feels strange. I highly recommend giving these ergonomic split style keyboards a try.

I used my old Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard for enough years to wear the letters right off the keycaps and to shred the vinyl coating on the palm rest. So I decided to replace it with this newer model. The good part is that the layout is almost completely the same, the overall dimensions and form factor is identical, the split keyboard layout is still comfortable, and the top row dedicated and assignable functional buttons are still massively useful. I cannot get my touch typing correct. The keys are off just enough that I cannot touch type without looking. The {} and () are particularly annoying. It took me 3 tries to get the parens right while typing this and I have had the kb for a year. The calculator app key does not work every time. I much preferred the older Ergo keyboard. Also my wrists are bothering me again.
