I absolutely love this tablet laptop. This is the first laptop that I have purchased that has been able to meet my needs for doing the image editing of my panoramic and gigapixel images. I shoot the multi-image panos with a Fuji GFX 100s (100 Megapixel) camera and then stitch them together. That laptop handles it without any problems. I also shoot in raw and then manually prosses them and again this works great. The pen and tablet mode is fantastic for doing the processing and editing. I bought the Surface Laptop Studio along with the Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel in order to compare them. The color and contrast on the Acer were obviously much better, and the Slim Pen 2 gets jittery when drawing slowly/carefully. However, the Surface display gets much brighter, and writing/drawing on it feels much more natural, mostly because of the awkward aspect ratio on the Acer and a very noticeable gap between its display and digitizer. I’ve had the pleasure of using three different Surface Laptop Studios. They each far exceed my expectations.I currently have one at work and one at home. (I don’t like mixing work and home on the same computer). This means I have one to pamper and one to abuse. I won’t disclose which is which.My background: I’m a senior software engineer for a Fortune 300. I need virtualization, horsepower, and flexibility at work (Visual Studio, Docker, Kubernetes). I’m also a 3D artist at home (Blender, TopoGun, Maya, 3DS, Chitubox, etc.).When I have to, I use Office.My usage patterns are all over the place.

Super happy with this laptop. I use it for some fairly heavy photo/video editing and as my daily/travel laptop. It functions perfectly as my daily work laptop (email, office suite, contracts, budgets, etc.), but has sufficient processing capacity and memory to support my photo/video editing. As a HUGE plus, the fact that this folds flat as a tablet has ensured that I pretty much never use my older iPad anymore as this replaces that device as well for home/couch use. My main goal was to get a performant laptop that would fold flat into a tablet so I could suspend it like a monitor and use an external keyboard I would share with another laptop. While a bit heavy and the folding mechanism gets a bit to getting used to, I have no regrets making this purchase.The GPU is good enough to handle all but the most super intensive video games but perfect for graphic intensive apps. This is one of the worse laptops I have used. This laptop is not for someone who does a lot of work as I do.1. It stalls when you want to review recent documents. You will have to cut off the entire computer and put it back on to get it working again.2. When proofreading a document the entire document will become blurred. You will have to refresh the computer several times to get the writing visible again.3. It does not live up to the battery life as stated in the specs.4. When typing the cursor gets stuck. If it does not get stuck you will have to struggle to get it to the right location.Note

I'm working as an engineer while completing my M.S.E. I need a device that allows me to hand-write class notes and equations while still having the power for intense software like Pix4D.
